The best AI website builder depends on what you are building. For a quick business site, Wix and Hostinger get you online fastest. For a site that has to look custom, Framer and Webflow give you more control. For landing pages and lead funnels, Onepage and Durable are built for getting leads. And if your niche site lives on WordPress, 10Web or Elementor keep you there.
I have used WordPress for every niche site I run, and I build landing pages for local businesses through my SEO agency, so I look at these tools with two questions in mind: can I publish something useful in an afternoon, and will I regret it six months later when I want to grow it? Below is how the main AI builders compare on those two points. Every price comes from each vendor’s own pricing page, checked on 1 October 2026.
Can AI really build you a website?
Yes, a first draft. Every builder on this list can turn a short description of your business into a site with pages, sections, placeholder images and copy in a minute or two. What the AI cannot do is know your offer, your customers or what makes you different, so the copy it writes tends to sound like every other AI-built site.
My rule is simple: use the AI for structure and layout, then rewrite every headline and every claim yourself. The time you save is on design and page setup.

How I compared these AI website builders
I looked at the things that matter for a niche site or a small business page:
- Starting price for a plan that lets you use your own domain, and whether there is a free plan.
- What the AI generates: a full site, single pages, copy, images or code.
- Lead features: forms, funnels, A/B tests, email.
- Lock-in: how hard it is to leave or to grow beyond the first version.
I have not run paid campaigns on these tools, so I will not pretend to give you conversion rates. What you get here is what each plan includes today, where each tool fits and who should avoid it.

The best AI website builders in 2026
1. Wix
Wix’s AI website builder creates a full site from a prompt, with copy and images, and it now includes an AI assistant called Aria to edit the site afterwards. The strength of Wix has always been its app market: bookings, stores, events and forms are all there.
Paid plans start at $17 a month for Light on yearly billing, but Light does not accept payments, so a business that sells anything will need Core ($29) or higher. The free plan shows Wix branding. Choose Wix if you want everything in one place and do not plan to move. Avoid it if you care about owning a portable site.
2. Hostinger Website Builder
This is the old Zyro, now part of Hostinger (zyro.com redirects there). The AI builds a first site and includes an AI writer, an SEO assistant, a logo maker and product description tools.
The headline price is $2.99 a month, but read the small print: that is for a 48-month term paid upfront, and it renews at $10.99 a month. The cheapest plan includes 5 AI credits, once. It is the cheapest way to get a simple site online if you are happy to pay for years in advance.
3. Squarespace
Squarespace calls its AI tool Blueprint AI. You describe the site and it builds one with copy and images, and you can generate images with AI later. Squarespace templates still look more polished than most.
From Europe I saw Basic at €12 a month on yearly billing. Basic charges a 2% fee on store sales, so it is better for portfolios and brand sites than for a shop. There is a 14-day trial and no free plan.
4. Framer
Framer started as a design tool and it shows. Its AI agents generate pages, sections, text and images that you can then edit like a design file. The result looks custom-made.
Basic costs $10 a month and Pro $30 a month on yearly billing. The free plan is for non-commercial use and does not allow a custom domain. A/B testing exists only as a Pro add-on. Pick Framer if design matters to you and you are comfortable with a design-tool interface.
5. Webflow
Webflow can now turn a prompt into a full site and generate sections, code and copy. It remains the most powerful visual builder here, with a real CMS for content sites.
Basic is $15 a month on yearly billing or $25 monthly. The free Starter plan is limited to two static pages and 50 form submissions on a webflow.io address. A/B testing comes through the Webflow Optimize add-on. It is my pick for a content-heavy niche site that will grow, but the learning curve is real.

6. Durable
Durable is built for service businesses: it generates the site, plus logos, ads and images, and includes AI agents for blogging and for leads, with a simple CRM.
Launch is $25 a month on monthly billing. The free plan keeps Durable branding, uses a subdomain and limits the CRM to 10 clients. Good for a plumber or a consultant who wants something live today; too limited for a content site.
7. 10Web
10Web is the option if you want to stay on WordPress. Its AI builder can redesign an existing site, clone a site from a URL or turn a Figma design into a WordPress site, which you then manage like any WordPress install.
AI Starter is $10 a month on yearly billing for the first year, with a regular price of $240 a year. Note that the 30-day money-back guarantee stops applying once you claim the free domain. If your niche site is already on WordPress, this or Elementor (which now includes AI for code, copy, images and layouts) keeps you on the platform you know.
8. GoDaddy Airo
GoDaddy’s builder goes further than a site: from a prompt it can generate pages, simple web apps and databases, and it lets you export the code. There is a free plan with 50 AI credits a month and no card required.
From Europe the Starter plan showed as €8.49 a month on yearly billing, for one site. It is interesting if you want a small tool or calculator alongside your pages, less so for a large content site.
9. Onepage
Onepage is a German builder (Onepage GmbH, with core servers in Germany) focused on websites, landing pages and funnels for small businesses and agencies. Its AI generates complete sites, landing pages and multi-step funnels from a description, and in June 2026 they replaced their earlier AI features with Onepage Agent, which builds sections or whole pages that you then edit as normal blocks in the visual editor. It also connects to AI tools such as Claude and Cursor through MCP.
What stands out for lead generation is that website analytics and a built-in CRM are included on every plan, even the free one, and forms and multi-step funnels (with conditional logic and UTM capture) come through a Forms and Funnels add-on that has a free tier of 100 responses a month. Paid plans start at €16.6 a month on yearly billing for Essential, which adds your own domain and removes Onepage branding. The free plan is permanent, not a trial, with one site and three pages.
The limits: beyond the free tier, the Forms and Funnels add-on is priced separately (from €33.3 a month yearly), and I could not find A/B testing anywhere on its site. Onepage fits European businesses and agencies that want GDPR-friendly hosting and lead capture in one tool, more than bloggers building large content sites.
Which AI website builder should you choose?
- A niche content site you want to grow: Webflow, or WordPress with 10Web or Elementor.
- A local service business that needs calls and form leads: Durable, Onepage or Wix.
- A one-page offer or lead magnet: Onepage, Framer or, if the budget is tiny, Carrd, which I cover in my guide to the best no-code funnel builders. I explain the full process in my guide on how to create a landing page with AI.
- A design-led brand site: Framer or Squarespace.
- The lowest possible cost: Hostinger, if you accept the long prepaid term.
If you are going to sell through a sequence of pages, with an opt-in, an offer and a checkout, a website builder is not enough. Read my comparison of the best no-code funnel builders first. AI website builders: FAQ
Are AI website builders any good?
They are good at the first draft: structure, layout and a starting point for copy. They are weak at saying something specific about your business. Treat the output as a template you rewrite, and they save real time.
Can ChatGPT actually create a website?
It can produce the pieces: page copy, an outline and HTML for a basic page. Turning those pieces into a live site is the part it does not do for you, from hosting and the domain to forms and future edits. If you enjoy that kind of setup, it works. If not, a builder is quicker.
Is there a free AI website builder?
Yes, with limits. Wix, Framer, Webflow, Durable, GoDaddy Airo and Onepage all have free plans, but they use the builder’s subdomain and usually show its branding. For a business, budget for a paid plan with your own domain.
Is an AI website builder good for SEO?
It can be, as long as you can edit titles, meta descriptions, headings and URLs, and you add content that is genuinely yours. The AI-generated copy on its own rarely ranks, because it says what every other page says. My checklist on SEO for bloggers applies to any builder.
